About online Makaton training
All online Makaton training for organisations are delivered via the ZOOM platform.
The training session is live and delivered with the need for participants to have cameras on during signing activities to support engagement and participation.
No more than 2 people sharing per screen so I can see hands clearly.
You will need: a stable internet connection, a laptop/PC/Tablet. A working camera, microphone and speaker.
Resources: You will be sent handouts to be referred too during the session via email 2 weeks prior to the training date, please ensure you either print these out or have them minimised on screen for reference.
If completing a Level course or a Makaton For... Workshop, manuals will be posted out approximately two weeks prior to the training date for distribution.
Training link: Training is delivered via ZOOM platform, you will be sent the link to access training via email two weeks prior to the training date.
Certificates: Once you have completed the session and you feedback form, you will be sent a digital certificate via email or via post if you are taking part in Level training or a Makaton for... Workshop.
To keep the session professional and comfortable for everyone:
Logging on: Please log on 10 minutes prior to the official training start time so allow camera and mic checks and to smooth out any technical issues.
Clothing: Please wear appropriate clothing similar to what you would wear in a workplace setting. Avoid sleepwear or clothing with inappropriate images or wording.
Training Area: Join from a quiet space where you can focus. If possible, avoid bedrooms or areas that may appear unprofessional on camera.
Lighting & Visibility: Make sure you are clearly visible with adequate lighting. Please try NOT to sit in a position where a window is directly behind you.
Background Noise: Please keep your microphone muted when not speaking.
Attendance: You will be required to complete to training in full to gain your certificate of attendance.
